Anyone can make claims about China on the internet. The whole point of this publication is that you don't have to take our word for it.

What we do

Every article ends with a short Sources list — the books, records, and reputable reporting the piece is built on. Where it helps, we link straight to them so you can check.

We separate fact from reading. History has facts; what a poem means is interpretation, and we say which is which.

When we're wrong

We will get things wrong sometimes — a date, a name, a mistranslation. When that happens, we fix it in the article and note what changed, rather than quietly editing it away. If you spot an error, that's a gift: tell us and you'll be credited in the correction.

On neutrality

China is a place people argue about. We're not here to sell you a verdict — we're here to make the story legible, with its sources on the table, so you can make up your own mind.

每篇文章文末都会列出参考来源。事实与解读分开；写错了就公开更正、注明改动，而不是偷偷删掉。发现错误欢迎指出，更正处会署名致谢。
